She’s Pregnant So Let’s Get a Divorce Chapter 38

Chapter 38

Amanda was most worried about Aiden.

It was night now, and this was the time when the boy would stick to her, pestering her to coax him to sleep.

She couldn’t help but wonder if he was crying about wanting her…

After Grace left the charity dinner, she went about different ways to inquire about Amanda’s current address.

She wanted to know the reason Elias went to see Amanda.

After spending an hour making calls, she finally got Amanda’s address. Grace didn’t waste another second as she drove her car at top speed to the housing area.

When she got there, she stormed into the elevator while barely holding her anger in.

Her head was filled with fantasies about what she would see later. Would she see Amanda bugging Elias, preventing him from leaving? Or would the two be having a romantic dinner together?

Everything she imagined made her so angry she could explode.

The elevator doors finally opened upon arrival at Amanda’s floor.

Right then, Helean and Aiden were standing outside the door, waiting for Amanda’s return.

“Why isn’t Mommy home yet? She is not even picking up our calls. Did something happen to her?” the child muttered with a worried look on his face. He might bicker with Amanda a lot, but there was no doubt that his love for his mother ran deep.

Helean also thought it was odd how his calls to Amanda’s phone would go through, although they would end up unanswered.

“I wonder why your mommy isn’t picking up the phone. How strange…

Grace walked in their direction. She noticed the adult and child standing together at a glance.

Helean, who seldom paid attention to the entertainment industry, didn’t recognize Grace even though she was a celebrity.

Grace went past them and pressed the doorbell. To her surprise, a fierce but adorable voice called out to her from behind. “Why are you pressing our doorbell? Do you need Mommy for something?”

“Who are you?” Helean then explained, “Amanda is not home.”

Hearing that, Grace turned to them in shock and repeated, “Mommy? Amanda is your mother?!”

The boy huffed. “So what if she is? It’s none of your business. Now tell us why you are looking for Mommy!”

Aiden had a feeling that this was an evil woman who was here to give his mother a hard time.

Helean, on the other hand, had a blank look on his face. He had no idea what was going on.

Grace’s mind went blank when she stared at the child in front of her. For some reason, she thought he looked familiar.

I think I have seen him before!

Realization suddenly dawned on her.

I remember now! This is the rascal I saw when I came out of the washroom at the theme park!

She immediately grabbed him by the shoulders and carefully observed his small face.

Grace’s face fell and by the time she spoke again, her whole face was completely white as if she had seen a ghost. She muttered to herself, “No… No, how is this possible…

He looks like Elias the more I stare at him!

She then had a scary thought.

Is this child… Elias?

Just the thought of the possibility made Grace tremble all over. Even her grip on the boy got tighter.

The boy frowned from the pain. “Let go of me, you witch! It hurts!”

Seeing this, Helean hurried forward and pushed Grace away before picking the boy up. are you sick in the head? Why are you bullying a child?”

He immediately turned around and left with Aiden in his arms after throwing that out.

Since he didn’t know how much longer he would have to wait before he got in contact with Amanda, he decided it would be better to bring Aiden back home with him for now.

Grace was left to dazedly stand in the same spot for some time.

I won’t stand a chance to marry into the Winters Family if the boy is Elias’ son. But didn’t Elias say Amanda had an abortion four years ago? I’m sure I heard that brat calling Amanda his mommy…

At the same time, the kidnapper had successfully gotten the 400,000 in cash.

“Haha! Your son-in-law sure is rich, you old fart. It’s really 400,000 in cash. He must be really rich to have so much cash in such a short time.”

Dick put on an apologetic smile and persuaded the kidnapper, “Sir, you have received the money. Please let us go. I have a wife and children. You said you would let us go as soon as you got the money.”

The kidnapper was smiling from ear to ear as he looked at the cash. He then waved dismissively. “Shoo! You can go, but your daughter has to stay.”

“What? Why?”

“How can we just let our cash cow go? Four hundred thousand isn’t even enough for us to wipe our “sses with. Now, piss off! We’ll keep you here if you don’t scram now” The man didn’t hold back his threat.

Dick could only cower and scramble off. Still, he couldn’t help but ask, “My wife and children…”

“They’re all trash anyway. You’ll see them when you get home. Your daughter here is our trump card.”

Hearing that, Dick turned to Amanda and comforted her. “Don’t be scared. Amanda. Elias won’t ignore you-

“Go away! Get out of my sight! I don’t need a se mbag of a father like you!”

Amanda was shaking from the anger. It truly disgusted her that the blood of a scum like Dick was flowing in her body.

The kidnapper promptly pulled her up from the floor. He wanted to move her to a different location before demanding another sum from Elias.

“Oh, pretty lady, you can’t blame us for being greedy. It’s your husband’s fault for being rich and giving us the money too soon. Hahaha!”

Amanda only fell into despair as the kidnapper forcefully dragged her out of this abandoned. building.

If she could, she wanted to tell Elias that he only had to take good care of their child. She didn’t need him to save her.

The kidnapper took out his phone and gave Elias a call again. He could tell how anxious Elias was from the way the latter accepted the call within a second.

As soon as the call got through, the kidnapper boldly asked for more money. “Pleasure doing business with you, Mr. Winters. You have been a man of your word too. We have decided to borrow another 1.5 million from you, and we are giving you seven days this time. We want it in cash like before, yeah? And we will be taking care of your wife for the time being.”

“Elias, can you hear me?” Amanda took the chance to shout into the phone, “Don’t give them the money, and don’t save me! They will just keep using me to ask for ransom instead of letting me go!”

The kidnapper suddenly slapped Amanda so hard that her head turned and blood trickled from the corner of her mouth.

“F*cking hell! How dare you try to mess things up, you sl*t? Do you want to die?!”

Amanda ignored the pain in her cheek as hatred filled her eyes.

At the same time, Elias couldn’t even utter a word after he took the call when the call suddenly ended. However, he did hear that last sound when the kidnapper’s palm met Amanda’s cheek.

His temper started to boil in that instant.

Hurling his phone on the floor, he roared. These b*stards are trying to walk all over me!”

He abruptly got up and ordered the bodyguards behind him, “There is no need to be gentle anymore. I want those trash found right this instant, and I want them dead tonight!”

At the Winters Residence. "Elias, when are you coming home? I have something to tell you." A sweet smile appeared on Amanda Bailey's face while she looked at the two lines on the pregnancy test. She hung up the call and rushed out of the room with the pregnancy test strip in hand, eager to tell the man the good news. She sprinted down the stairs but suddenly remembered her pregnancy and slowed down. Clutching the test strip in her hand, she wondered what Elias Winters' reaction would be once he heard the news.
