Amanda smiled and looked at Carlisle, hoping that the useless man would cooperate and let her talk about work before letting her go.

Her indifference thoroughly irked Elias, who then lifted the champagne in his hand and emptied its contents in one gulp.

“Mr. London, can we talk now? Or we can talk privately somewhere else. I won’t take much of your time. Just ten minutes will do.”

However, Carlisle had a perverted smile on his face as he countered, “Didn’t Mr. Winters say that this is a pool party? It’s not appropriate for you to dress like this and talk to me. Miss Bailey, why don’t you consider changing into swimwear?”

She couldn’t stand it anymore at this point. Why do I have to defend a human scum like him?

“Well, then. Let’s talk tomorrow. I’ll make an appointment with you,” Amanda uttered as she turned around to leave.

Unexpectedly, the man next to her stood in front of her, blocking her. “You are refusing even though Mr. Winters and Mr. London are inviting you to the party? You don’t know what’s best for you, do you? Do you even want to make it far in the legal industry?”

“Don’t be a spoilsport, Miss Bailey. Changing into swimwear isn’t a big deal. Besides…” Carlisle commented. “You have a nice body.”

Amanda was looking at that slob when he spoke, and she soon glanced at Elias, who was seated beside him. He didn’t seem like he was going to help at all, with how he remained motionless in

his seat.

Although she felt a little disappointed, she understood that the man wouldn’t speak up for her when he hated her so much.

“If you are going to treat your defense lawyer this way, Mr. London, I’m afraid we can’t work together. Please get someone else to defend your case.”

Carlisle smiled at that. “Are you quitting? Very well, then. I’ll go to the law firm you work at and complain about this tomorrow. I’ll also expose the company and let everyone see the quality of lawyers at Justice & Associates.”

What the hell? He is a bully! How is he any different from a gangster?! Amanda did not know what to do at this point.

She couldn’t help but glance at Elias again. However, his head was lowered as he played with his champagne glass, looking completely detached.

Clearly, he wanted to see her defeated as she humbly begged him.

There was no other way out of this for her. She couldn’t afford to bring down the law firm’s reputation.

The law firm was the result of Simon’s years of hard work, and it had always had a good reputation. She couldn’t ruin it with her own hands.

The rest of the men were also egging this on because they wanted to curry Elias’ favor. Even they could tell that he was intentionally making things hard for Amanda.

She turned around and looked at the unconcerned Elias when she suddenly announced, “Fine! I will put on swimwear!”

Everyone was astonished to hear that.

Even Elias suddenly looked up at her with a hint of surprise in his dark eyes as he didn’t think she would agree to it.

Knowing Amanda, she wasn’t someone who would say yes to requests that were out of line, such

as this one.

“But it will only be for ten minutes. I will leave after we are done discussing work. I’m just a pitiful desk jockey. I don’t have time to party with you rich men.”

As she spoke, her eyes were fixated on Elias. She knew that he was deliberately making things difficult for her. I’ll just let him indulge in this perverted hobby he has.

“Where is the swimwear? And where can I get changed?” Amanda appeared indifferent and looked as if she didn’t care at all.

As though trying to see through what she was up to, Elias stared at her with his jaw tightly clenched as he continued leaning against the chair.

Everyone was waiting for him to react. After all, they were all trying to get on his good side. Despite that, he stayed quiet.

Carlisle was stunned at first, but he soon smilingly cheered, “You over there, take Miss Bailey to somewhere she can get changed. I’ve never seen a beautiful lawyer in swimwear before. I’m looking forward to it.”

As soon as he said that, a young lady walked up to Amanda. “Please follow me.”

Amanda didn’t even look at Elias as she followed the woman.

Elias, on the other hand, almost crushed the champagne glass in his hand. Is the deliberately going against me? Why would she be in swimwear in a place full of wolves? What a fool!

“You are amazing, Mr. Winters. You made such a fun suggestion. I can’t wait to watch the show the beautiful swimsuit-clad lawyer is about to put on, someone said.

Elias finally broke his silence with a roar. “To hell if you’re watching anything!”

He then angrily got up and stormed to the villa, leaving Carlisle with a frozen smile and a look of bewilderment on his face.

Feeling wronged, Carlisle bitterly grumbled, “Geez! Why are you yelling? You were the one who wanted to see her in swimwear, so why are you getting mad now?!”

After Elias entered the villa, he randomly grabbed a maid and demanded, “Where is the lawyer changing her clothes?”

“Uh… Mr. Winters, she seems to have gone to one of the guest rooms upstairs to change. I’m not sure which room she is in.”

He went straight upstairs the moment he heard that.

He might actually choke that idiot of a lawyer if she changed into a swimsuit here.

Since he didn’t know which room Amanda was in, he started searching from guest room to guest room upstairs.

At the same time, Amanda was in one of the rooms, worrying about the bikini in front of her. Do I really have to wear it?

She had never worn swimwear that exposed so much skin. Unfortunately, she probably wouldn’t be able to get out of this today. And I’ll never let Elias underestimate me!

After debating over it for a while, Amanda finally made up her mind and put on the bikini.

She quickly covered her chest with her arms and stepped back.

Elias was now frozen in place outside the door, his hand on the doorknob. He didn’t think he would see something like this the moment he opened the door…

Amanda was wearing a sexy, extremely revealing white bikini. In fact, she almost looked like she wasn’t wearing anything.

She had a graceful figure covered in snow-white skin, long and slender legs, soft wavy hair down. to her waist, and a flustered expression….

Elias’ throat bobbed as his dark eyes gazing at her grew unbelievably possessive.

He closed the door and locked it behind him before he stalked straight toward her, howling. “You actually changed into it! Are you stupid?!”

The woman never stopped retreating. “Stay away! I didn’t say you could come in!”

What the hell is wrong with the woman who brought me here? She said she would be standing guard outside. Why did she let Elias barge in?!

Looking at the extraordinarily stunning woman, Elias couldn’t help losing his temper. “Put on your clothes! You are not going out there in this!”

“Are you schizophrenic? You told me to change into swimwear, and now you are telling me to put on my clothes? What exactly do you want? You are picking on me because you hate the sight of me, right?”
